Terms of Use.

By installing or using the iOS game MahjongZen ("the App"), you agree to these Terms.

1. Licence

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use only.

2. In-App Purchases

The App offers three non-consumable purchases handled through Apple StoreKit:

• com.mahjongzen.theme.jade — Jade Stone theme
• com.mahjongzen.layouts.premium — Premium Layouts pack
• com.mahjongzen.pro — MahjongZen Pro (everything plus no ads)

There is no virtual currency, no consumables, and no loot boxes. All transactions happen through Apple. Refunds — including for MahjongZen Pro — are handled by Apple under their refund policy: https://support.apple.com/HT204084

3. Advertising

The Free tier shows rewarded video and interstitial ads from Google AdMob. The Privacy Policy explains how AdMob processes data. Buying MahjongZen Pro removes ads entirely.

4. User-generated content

The "Create your own" board feature generates layouts locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to us or to any third party.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App, and not to abuse Apple Game Center — including but not limited to submitting forged scores or attempting to interfere with leaderboards or achievements.

6. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by Portuguese law and EU consumer protection rules, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Termination

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue or update the App at our discretion.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Disputes are subject to the courts of Porto, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; the latest version is at this URL with a new effective date.
